Digitally Charged builds an AI-assisted Vehicle Protection Quote Builder for Surface Works

Customers can identify their vehicle, explore XPEL PPF and Gtechniq coating options, and create a tailored guide price before speaking to the workshop.

Digitally Charged has designed and built a new customer-facing Vehicle Protection Quote Builder for Surface Works.

The online tool makes it easier for vehicle owners to understand their protection choices, compare suitable services and get an indicative price before speaking to the Surface Works team.

Start with a photograph or vehicle details.

Customers can upload an existing photograph, take a new picture on a supported phone or enter their vehicle details manually. The AI-assisted vehicle identifier suggests the likely make, model and appropriate pricing size category for the customer to confirm.

That information then carries into the protection builder, reducing the uncertainty that can come with deciding whether a vehicle should be treated as small, medium, large or extra large for an initial price guide.

Compare protection options in plain English.

The builder brings together XPEL Paint Protection Film, Gtechniq ceramic coatings, combined PPF and ceramic packages, paint preparation, machine polishing and Surface Works detailing services.

Customers can also consider protection for glass, wheels, interiors and convertible roofs. Each choice explains what the service is for, helping people distinguish the physical stone-chip protection offered by PPF from the finish, chemical resistance and easier maintenance associated with ceramic coatings.

Build and share a tailored package.

Customers can add or remove options, compare packages and see an indicative total as their choices change. The selected package can be saved in a shareable link or sent directly to Surface Works for review.

The online figure is a guide rather than a final quotation. Surface Works reviews the vehicle's condition, specification and intended use, together with the customer's priorities, before confirming its recommendation and price.

Chris Day, Director of Surface Works

“Vehicle protection can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with the different films, coatings and preparation options. We wanted to give customers a straightforward way to explore what is suitable for their vehicle and understand the likely investment before they contact us.”

Built by Digitally Charged around the buying decision.

The project goes beyond a conventional price calculator. Digitally Charged designed the experience around the questions customers actually face: what will fit their vehicle, how PPF and ceramic protection differ, which areas they want covered and what level of preparation may be required.

The photo-assisted starting point, explanatory content and adjustable package builder create a clearer route from early research to a conversation with the installer. The submitted choices give Surface Works useful context for the follow-up without presenting an automated guide as a confirmed workshop quotation.
