The relationship

Media experience that feeds the agency’s category intelligence.

SuperBike grew from a long-running print title into a digital media brand with an established motorcycle audience and editorial identity. In October 2023, Digitally Charged announced that it would manage SuperBike data and content delivery from January 2024, creating a closer connection between specialist agency capability and a live motorcycle publishing environment.

The value is not simply access to another place to put an advert. SuperBike gives the team an active view of what riders choose to watch, read, share and discuss; which subjects sustain attention; how product language lands outside a brand presentation; and how publishing rhythm affects discovery. That exposure helps Digitally Charged ask better questions when planning client media, content and customer journeys.

It is equally important to be precise about what the relationship does not establish. One media audience cannot represent every rider or every motorcycle market. A view does not prove ownership, purchase intent or eligibility for an advertiser audience. SuperBike therefore contributes evidence and learning to the wider picture rather than becoming a shortcut around category research, client first-party knowledge or responsible media planning.

That 88.4% non-follower share is one of the strongest commercial signals in the data. SuperBike's distribution is not constrained by its follower count: content repeatedly reaches new motorcycle audiences through Meta's discovery systems.

40.3% of discovery comes through YouTube Search.

A further 28.4% comes from Browse features with Suggested videos at 14.2% and external discovery at 12.8%.

This matters because it demonstrates active discovery as well as passive distribution: riders are searching YouTube for motorcycle content and finding SuperBike in those journeys.

Read the numbers correctly

Facebook views, engagements, followers and YouTube lifetime views are different measures and must not be added together as unique people. These are first-party platform analytics, not an independently audited reach study. They are valuable because the underlying figures are visible in the source dashboards and are presented with their time period and platform definition intact.

Audience geography

A UK title with a useful US foothold and global reach.

SuperBike's organic audience is international. That gives strong stories, launches and video content the chance to travel well beyond one market.

Advertiser delivery is planned separately. A campaign can focus on the United Kingdom, the United States, selected regions or individual dealer catchments without asking the wider organic audience to behave like a paid-media audience.

UK relevance

A British motorcycle media brand with local market context.

SuperBike was built in the UK and its editorial identity is rooted in the motorcycles, racing, roads, dealers and ownership questions familiar to British riders. For UK campaigns, paid distribution can be controlled by country, region, postcode area, dealer territory or event location.

United States 12.7%

A meaningful measured audience in a priority growth market.

The United States represents 12.7% of the supplied lifetime Facebook country breakdown. It is the strongest individual Western market shown in that view and gives North American campaigns an existing base of motorcycle interest to build from.

Campaign control

Global organic reach does not mean wasted advertiser spend.

Organic content can continue to earn international exposure while paid social, display, video and retargeting are restricted to the markets that matter. UK and US performance can be reported separately, with creative, offers and landing journeys adapted by territory.

Advertisers buy the market they need. Good content can still travel further.

The organic audience adds reach and learning. The paid campaign defines where the budget goes.

Source note: the 12.7% US figure comes from the supplied lifetime Facebook country view. It is separate from the 1 March 2025 to 1 March 2026 performance period shown above.

Advertise and collaborate

Use the platform. Build the right role around it.

SuperBike opportunities are shaped around the product, rider, story and action required. Availability depends on the current channels, editorial fit, production scope, platform rules, approvals and campaign period.

Brand and launch partnerships

Introduce a motorcycle, product, event or ownership proposition through a brief shaped for SuperBike’s audience and channels. The available format, timing, creative route and disclosure are confirmed against current inventory and editorial fit rather than assumed from a standard package.

  • Launch and product storytelling
  • Sponsored or partner content
  • Platform-native creative
  • Clear commercial disclosure

Content and distribution

Build useful motorcycle content, then plan how it should travel across eligible SuperBike environments. One master asset is not automatically suitable everywhere: the opening, crop, duration, caption, context and call to action may need to change by placement.

  • Social and video formats
  • Technical explainers
  • Event and product coverage
  • Campaign amplification

Audience-led planning

Use aggregate patterns to understand which subjects, questions, formats and publishing moments deserve closer investigation. These signals can shape a content or advertiser hypothesis, but they do not identify an individual rider or guarantee that every person reached is addressable for advertising.

  • Topic and format patterns
  • Engagement and timing review
  • Content-gap identification
  • Campaign-question development

Custom advertiser brief

Combine SuperBike with wider Digitally Charged capability when the commercial problem extends beyond media placement. Search, social, display, creative, landing pages, audience planning and reporting can be scoped around the same brief where they add value.

  • Integrated campaign planning
  • Creative and landing support
  • Measurement specification
  • Post-campaign learning

Content behaviour

See which motorcycle questions earn attention.

A publishing environment creates a fast feedback loop around subject choice and presentation. Model stories, technical explanations, ownership issues, clothing and equipment, racing, events and culture can behave differently by platform and format. Looking at that response helps the team identify useful questions for further investigation rather than relying only on assumptions made inside a campaign meeting.

The learning is interpreted in context. An entertaining video may generate large view volume without indicating a near-term buying decision. A narrower technical subject may attract fewer people but reveal a more specific information need. We examine the subject, creative opening, completion, comments, onward behaviour and timing separately where the available reporting allows.

Industry understanding

Keep the agency close to real rider language.

Motorcycle terminology changes across experience levels, disciplines and communities. The way an established rider talks about suspension, luggage, tyres or track performance may be very different from the way a new licence holder frames the same category. SuperBike gives the team another live environment in which to observe those distinctions and test whether brand language answers the question a person is actually asking.

That does not replace direct client research, dealer feedback, sales data or wider market evidence. It improves the starting point and exposes subjects that deserve deeper work. The result can inform an editorial plan, a website information structure, a search strategy, a creative brief or the questions asked of another dataset.

Campaign learning

Connect attention to the next useful decision.

When a commercial activation is appropriate, SuperBike can help test how a proposition behaves in a specialist context. The objective may be to explain a technology, introduce a model, support an event or prompt a journey to a brand destination. The brief should define that role before a view, click or engagement is labelled a success.

Digitally Charged can connect the platform reporting with wider campaign and website evidence where the systems, consent and access allow. Direct actions, platform-attributed results and editorial engagement remain distinct. The most useful output is a clear account of what was delivered, what the audience did, what remains uncertain and what should change next.

Wider application

Use a live platform to challenge the wider plan.

The SuperBike relationship improves more than SuperBike campaigns. It keeps the agency involved in the daily mechanics of publishing, format adaptation, community response, rights, brand partnerships and platform change. That operational exposure can reveal why a theoretically strong idea is difficult to produce, why a format needs a different opening or why a measurement definition is too loose for the decision being made.

We carry those lessons into manufacturer, dealer, aftermarket, event and ownership briefs without claiming that one audience is universal. The platform is a source of practical category learning: a place to see behaviour, refine questions and improve judgement before a recommendation reaches the market.

Responsible audience use

Insight without turning riders into a commodity.
