The latest MCIA registration figures show the UK L-Category market grew 17.5% in July 2026 compared with July 2025. Motorcycle registrations were up 18.5%, while year-to-date motorcycle registrations were 16.1% higher.
Adventure was again one of the strongest signals in the market with registrations up 41.8% in July and 26.2% year to date. Naked motorcycles increased 24.5% in the month, while touring recorded growth of 18.2%.
For marketers, this is useful context rather than a targeting instruction on its own. Registration data tells us where the market is moving; search, content, video, website and conversational data can then help explain what riders are asking within those growing categories.
